Coach Driver Training Course

We offer driver training 5 days a week. We train on a one to one basis with a timetable to suit you. All tests take place during the week and the time and availability is determined by the DVLA. Our recommended timetable is 18 hours of driver training (taken in 7-8 hour slots over 3-4 days) followed by at least 2 hours driving prior to your practical test. If you would like more or less lessons or prefer not to do an intensive course then we are happy to arrange a timetable to suit your individual needs.

You must be 18 years or over and hold a full car licence to apply.

Steps to applying for a PCV Licence

You will need to obtain a D2 and D4 form, you can get these from either the Post Office, the DVLA or we can provide you with a starter pack which contains an application form (D2) and the medical form (D4).

The next step is getting a medical examination. Your own GP can conduct the required medical examination and will complete the D4 form on your behalf. We recommend a local medical in Brigg that charges just £50 for the full PCV medical.

Apply for your provisional entitlement by completing the D2 and D4 forms and then return them to the DVLA.

You then need to pass your theory & hazard perception test in order to be eligible for your practical test. You can book your theory & hazard perception test via the DSA website. We do have training materials to help with your revision.

A DSA driving test is then arranged to take place at the end of your practical training. You will receive 2 hours of Practical tuition before the test commences. The examiner will send your driving licence to DSA when the test has been successfully completed. It will then take 2-3 weeks to arrive back to you.

Here’s what our happy drivers had to say about our services:

Just like to say a big thank you for a very enjoyable 2 days ADR & PDP refresher course. Matt and Sam were on top of their game. Especially liked the endless chocolate biscuits and Mugs of tea. Matt sure knows his stuff. Thanks guys.
